The CelTox software has been designed in order to simplify planning, documentation and analysis of in vitro cytotoxicity tests. The software is divided into 3 modules - two of them (“Models” and “Experiment”) are used for study design, a third one for analysis (“Analysis”). An additional module consists of the “Dictionary”. Whereas the “Models” and “Experiment” modules can be adapted for any type of an experiment, the “Analysis” module is reserved exclusively for cytotoxicity and linearity tests performed in 96 wells microplates. The software’s product distribution models of the plates (or Plate Maps) are compatible with the 96 well microplate formats from the IN CYTOTOX range of cytotoxicity kits.
Operating systems and hardware requirements
Installation and execution of the software were tested on different operating systems, specifically on Microsoft® Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. CelTox is neither compatible with Macintosh computers nor with PCs running UNIX or LINUX operating systems. The minimal computer configuration is a Pentium II 200MHz (or equivalent) and 256MB RAM. Installation of the CelTox software requires approximately 30 MB of free disk space.
Software Installation
CelTox is distributed on a CD-ROM, which contains 2 files (CelTox.CAB and SETUP.LST), as well as a setup application (SetUp.exe). The CelTox installation starts after a double click on the SetUp.exe icon. Please follow the instructions on the screen.
Software registration
In order to obtain an activation code you have to register the software. Please follow the instructions on the opening screen. This process has to be done for every PC where the software is installed. The activation code will only work for the PC for which it was requested. The activation code can be requested by Email.
