This kit can be can be used in combination with any other Ames kit available from Xenometrix (Ames II, Ames MPF™ 98/100, Ames MPF™ 98, Ames MPF™ 100, Ames MPF™ 1537). Except for kits containing TA100, all strains are performed by the same assay procedure. Please use the slightly modified TA100 assay procedure when using this strain. The strain provided in this kit is the Salmonella typhimurium strain TA1535. TA1535 detects mutagens that cause base-pair substitutions. It contains the same hisG46 mutation as TA100, but lacks the plasmid pKM101.
