For the determination of cytotoxicity in high throughput screening it is necessary to use general criteria such as cellular proliferation, respiratory activity and membrane integrity.
The IN CYTOTOX test kits allow to determine protein synthesis, membrane permeability, respiratory or lysosomial activity.
This technical optimization used in the combined kits allows to increase the relevance of correlation of the tests and to reduce the handling time and the quantities of test compound.
It is possible to determine the smallest amount of test compound involving an ID50 (50% metabolic inhibition dose) after a prolonged time of contact as well as the shortest time of contact involving an ID50 with a high compound concentration.
